Dr. Jose Danilo Diestro, MD

Dr. Jose Danilo Diestro is a vascular neurologist with subspecialty training in interventional neuroradiology. He is involved in the medical and endovascular treatment of various vascular diseases of the brain and spine. These include stroke, carotid artery stenosis, aneurysms, fistulae and arteriovenous malformations.

He finished residency training in Adult Neurology and fellowship in Stroke at the University of the Philippines- Philippine General Hospital. He then went on to pursue fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology at the University of Toronto (St. Michael's Hospital) and the Universitéde Montréal (Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal).

He is well-published and has delivered numerous talks in the field of vascular and interventional neurology. His research is focused towards outcomes of stroke interventions and novel devices for aneurysm treatment. He has a particular interest in the education of advanced trainees in stroke medicine and interventional neuroradiology.
